Life Church is a lively and growing city centre church with an international congregation. We are a Pentecostal church, which means that our desire is to live and serve in the power of the Holy Spirit, and
Every person in this church is very special. God made you and loves you very much. He has a plan for your life that only you can fulfil. As we each play our part we can fulfil our mission as a church which is
‘to be like Jesus and to impact our friends and neighbours, our city, our nation and our world’.
No small job! But God has given us a vision to be
‘a healthy balanced church of 450 people by 2020, growing spiritually and numerically’.
We would love you to come and be part of that exciting journey.
The vision and direction of the church is set by a leadership team, made up of the pastor and elders. The practical running of the church is overseen by a management team, and this team includes people with specific areas of responsibility (eg finance).
Life Church changed its name in 2009, from Edinburgh Apostolic Church, so that people could understand more easily who we are and what we are about. The church has met in this building since 1931. The Apostolic church is the oldest Pentecostal denomination in the UK, and has pioneered churches in over 40 nations, many of whom are self governing, most notably in Western Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
